It is tempting for every church to believe that pornography is not an issue for their congregation. They do not want to imagine their members being involved, their staff struggling. But statistically, it is not possible for every church to be clear of this issue. it is hard to believe that ANY church is free. When the Associated Press reports that 90% of teens have viewed porn online, and Focus on the Family says that 2/3 of men struggle with porn, and Rick Warren's Pastors.com says 50% of pastors admit to viewing porn within the last year - when you combine stats like that, it CANNOT be someone else's problem.
The fact of the matter is that your church has members, and may have staff that are struggling with pornography. There are families that have lost intimacy due to it. There are marriages falling apart because of it. And there are believers who have become completely useless spiritually thanks to it. As a church, you can choose to ignore it. Or you can be willing to address the issue and try to free your people. At Defender, we want to help you minister to your church. We have a wide variety of tools that can show you what to do, and how to make this a lasting solution and not a temporary fix.
